My heater knob, the one switch between hot and cold, stop working.
It was tight to turn, then it can be turn free but no matter which position I turn, the heater setting can't be changed. Like in the morning, I really need some hot air, it just won't give...
This is the very first time I run into this kind of problem, and this is on a two month old car! Crap!

It's under warrant, I got an appointment at Thursday morning. What worrys me is that if it is a design issue and it can break now at so new; who knows it won't again at 2 yrs, 4 yrs..... When warrant no longer covers

wow sorry to here this. Hopefully the dealer fixes you up quickly. This is the first report of this I have seen but hopefully not a common issue. Make sure you find out what went wrong and what they did to fix it, including part numbers if possible. This way if it happens to someone one else or even you later down the road you will know exactly what needs to be done.

that's why factory warranty is so important, so take it in and they will replace it for free but make sure to find out what went wrong

and then let us know how it went :wink5:

I guess I owe a story here. I went to Nissan dealer and one of advisor greeted me. I told him the problem and show him the air is just as cold as outside, that's after some 5 miles drive. The he started to turn the heat cold knob back and forth, which I did, but no effect. Then he turn the fan from I to IIII, all the suddent hot air started to come out, even later I set the fan back to I, the air is still hot. I stood there like I was a fool, maybe I was. But anyhow, no charge , no anything. Fix right on the spot.
I think the reason maybe the air control valve was stuck by some debris, then when he turn the fan to max, it must blow the debris away and free up the valve.

if this was an older car I would say you have poor circulation going through the heater core. Being newer this is possible but unlikely. More of a possibility on a newer car would be an air pocket in your coolant system. Glad it's working but I would check your coolant level too.
