Improving acceleration

Any one know the best way to improve the acceleration of the Versa without spending a ton of money? I don't mind spending a couple hundred but have have already put 2500 into the car this week and I think my fiancé would kill me if I spent another couple thousand, since we are also trying to by a house? So any low cost ideas just make the car faster off the line?

Thanks

intake, header, exhaust. Nitrous ;)

Nitrous would be nuts...i have had nitrous on a car before and it was cool but ultimately was a head ache...I was looking at the takida Sri, and doing a BRM exhaust with possibly an 18" resonator to keep it a little quiet. Maybe a short throw shifter. But I'm looking to find some noticeable gains. If I have save up and turbo the car I will but I have had turbo cars as well and would rather not go too crazy on my daily driver. Headers my be a possibility.
Hey for the versa which is better: the DC CAI or the Takeda SRI? I like the SRI but I'm not sure which is best.
remove all the excess weight. It's the only cheap mod there is to make it faster. Otherwise your spending money. If you just want faster off the line next time you buy tires get some nice grippy ones.
swap in a sentra trans and sr20det out of a pulsar gtir!!
Theres not much out there but some bolt ons. Is your car auto or manual?
Takeda sri is a fun mod, as for cia or Sri its all preference.

I went with the takeda Sri...it should be delivered this coming Tuesday...do you know anything about the OBX header? Will this give me more power and not kill my gas mileage? I've heard the headers on the car and they sound great
i have the OBX header and it gave great bolt on power, also look into a light weight crank pulley. i have an NST pulley im willing to sell and willing to sell my OBX one once the DC header is out

I have heard that the OBX header has problems with leaking, when is the DC header going to be on the market? What has the the crank pulley done for you power wise? do you feel any difference when driving (i.e. less lag when accelerating)?
i dont have a problem with mine leaking, i just want the better quality.as for the pulley its just a general over powerband increase.

Remove the foglights, and place the intake there.
Also remove the airfilter.

That should give noticeable acceleartion increase.
