Irritating rattle in dash/windshield area

OMG!!! 2500 miles today and now there is a severely irritating rubbing noise coming from where my dash and windshield meet!! :banghead:

What do I do?? I don't want to bang on the dash, and if I keep my hand there, it goes away! But I have a manual and that is a bit difficult.

Are there any clips in this area that could be loose, or what can I use the stop the noise that isn't noticeable??

If it's still under warranty just take it to a dealership when you get a chance. They will find the noise and fix it all for free!
I was hoping so. Cool! Will do
i had some similar noise.
didnt get a permanent fix for the noise, but when i pressed that thing hard between the windshield, dash and glass, the thing pop's inside for quite sometime removing the noise.
Well if I drive and either push the part of the dash that stick out behind the steering wheel or press down between the dash and the windshield, no noise!! So I took it to the dealer for another issue and told them to look into the noise, they put some sticky tape and foam in there somewhere.....now I hear sticky tape!!! So it's louder! *sigh* gotta take it back!
This is a normal operational parameter of the Versa. Mine has been doing this for five years.

Some report relief of the rattle by using tape, foam, or other materials wedged in the appropriate places to reduce the noise. Some turn up their radios.

All cars have their quirks. This is part of the Versa personality.
Their's this foam in a spray can at Home Depo. It's used in construction for homes that have gaps in walls, doors and windows to fill and insulate. It hardens after it dries great for stopping a rattle. Very messy when you apply it though, but it works great! Just make sure you cover up the floor before using it.
Update!! So they put more sticky foam in there to help....btw, the dealer has a new center dash piece on order. The noise is considerably louder and after them digging, they have found a bad clip in the center part of the dash (the hump where the vents are) and its pretty warped. (Due to the AZ sun before I purchased it, so we hope) So soon my dash will be taken off for a third time and I hope, no more rattle. In turn, I have a brand new Versa for a loaner, it's have 69 whoppin miles on it....Ahhhhh, the memories of 4 months ago!
I just bought a 2011 Sedan - and the entire dash seems to squeak especially in the cold. Other times it sounds like there is something in the dash. But it's never the same thing every day - always different. And then other times I hear nothing. frustrating. I hit the dash and it doesn't help.

Mine does exactly the same thing. I figure: If the dash doesn't rattle, then the car is not really a Nissan. LOL:)

I just put some music on and forget about it.

Cheers!

I think that spray is called "Great Stuff".

It's definitely messy but works well.
