Trading Versa S to another Versa S, in my opinion, would not be an upgrade!! is like trading 4 quarters for a dollar bill :biggrinjester:

Hey, how much do you still owe on your current Versa S?
Why would I trade my Versa S for another Versa S with an automatic. I like the 6 speed and wasn't too found of the auto. Like I said the salesman was trying to be slippery but I wasn't interested to be honest. Once I was on the road in that car I noticed.. no power option. It was after that I headed back to the dealership.

I'd walk away with money in my pocket if someone said to me here's $12,000 or $12,500 for your car. Before the accident one of the things I was happiest about this car is I owed less than it's worth.

My S does not have Aux in :frown2: Just the bare bones stereo. In the S that I test drove it had Aux in and the stereo was slightly different. Lack of Aux and USB are the two primary reasons I want to change the stereo but I'm not in a hurry just yet as I've not seen anything that really makes me want to buy it.

Lol I think that's because you dont have the power package, you're good though...atleast yours came with a radio. I was radio-less for like a month when I got my V, I wanted an OEM radio but couldnt find the one I wanted so I went aftermarket.

My dad had a 07 S sedan with power package. He traded in 09 for a 09 SL hatch with convenience package. Once again it was another versa. Same everything. The only difference was the seat had height adjustment, map ligts, sun glass holder, 6 disc, CVT tanny, alloy wheels, 6 speakers, arm rest, rear cup holder, cruise control. As far as toys, he got the intelligent key, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls. They were nice, but it was the same versa. So if you want toys, then go for it, if not, id just keep it, or just get a basic versa SL, thats the only thing I wish I did instead of S. I got a loaded S model, and for about a $1000 more I could have got a base SL. But I was thinking of monthly $ at the time, not options.

My dad traded his 09 hatch in 2010 for a cube SL with SL package, and I will tell you, thats a trade to make. If your interested, check out the cube S. SL is ridiculously priced, and is not available in manual. The cube S comes standard with steering wheel controls, bluetooth, I think 6 disc, aux, CVT or manual, power package, traction control, rear cup holders, map lights, key and keyless fob are built into one, im sure more too. That's a good buy compared to versa.

To be honest, everything in the SL versa, I have done to my S sedan. like, 6 disc speakers, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, bluetooth, armrest, fog lights, spoiler, accent lighting kit, remote start, alarm system, I had the 6 disc for about a yr, the list goes on and on. As much as I like OEM parts, I like my Versa with the aftermarket parts that I put on it, to make it special. And the good news, it's still $153.87 a month. Yeah I put more money down not doing higher monthly payments, but hey, if times are tough, id rather put about $2000 into it, and know im looking at $153.87 every month and not $285, u know. Hope this helps.

That is true at least I had a radio and CD lol! I was originally looking for a 1.6 so was ready to go with just the bare plastic plate to start with. What type of stereo did you end up getting? Double din.. single?

Ok I've decided after much thought that I'm just not ready to part with my 2009 S. I like the car and really like shifting gears. As nice as the CVT could be at times I'd miss actually driving the the car lol. I will say this though.. when I was buying the S the sales man kept trying to sell me into the car based on monthly payment. They did the same again when I inquired about a new car. Had I have let him he'd had me on a 72 month loan with a slightly lower payment but more interest!

I have to say I'm really glad I didn't finance through Nissan (not that I could, they turned me down after they put me in the car and I had it home lol) but went through my credit union. They at least let me pay as much as I like over the minimum each month which will help shorten the life of the loan.

Cool, I wasn't looking for anything specific so I didn't mind driving a base model...the 1.6 saves a lot of gas so I'm good.

And what's the difference between single and double din? Not familiar with stereos.

Just the size of the face. I.e. a versa is a double din something like a 94 civic is a single din. Double dins you can do more. Like screens more option on some headunits. Single din is your standard size. You can get tv and crap like that but due to size you need a hard drive for nav or a flip out for your screen. Double din is what most car makers use now!

Thanks for the info. I guess I have a single din. It came with that harness that has the storage area.

What type is it? Do you like it? I bought a single din stereo from Walmart a couple of years ago for my old car for like $80 had SD slot, USB and Aux in but at that price point it died after a couple of weeks as did the two replacements. The car died before the last stereo did haha.. stupid ford escort.

I'm thinking I'd like to go for a double din in the Versa. Like i said I haven't seen anything that jumps out just yet. But who knows what I might find online or in a store somewhere.

I'm looking for a factory.. I mean OEM, something that has MP3 plug in because making CDs is a thing from the past YO :biggrinjester:

ohh thanks for explaining about double din and single din :thumb2:

I was going to get this radio from best buy but they were going to charge me for installation so I said no. then I was going to buy it online at a cheaper price but they were sold out.

Mine did not come with MP3 plug in
