Nissan Versa 2007 with about 78K+ miles on it. Last week i had an issue starting the car in the morning, i could hear engine cranking, but it wouldn't start, it finally started after 8-9 tries. I had no issues for about a week, but it happened again this morning. My first thought was a fuel pump acting up, but i could hear it engaging every time I turn the key, not ready to pay some schmuck 100 just to test fuel pressure. I live in Northern California the temperature is in the 40th overnight - I don't think it's an issue.

Any thoughts or suggesting would be greatly appreciated

Mine does it too. You checked your positive and negative cables on the battery? Mine are corroded some, but I got a feeling they are pretty picky. Gotta feeling if I throughly clean it with coke it will stop acting up.

Not sure how old your battery is, but I would consider replacing it first. Sounds like it may not be storing energy like it should and during the day it gets recharged by the alternator. Walmart has a good replacement.
