Jacking points for Trolley Jack

Great video, but if one is using a trolley jack, what are the approved jacking point?

I believe on the same points to as using a scissor jack.

A floor jack may eventually bend or flatten that spot, but it will still work and is the best lift point. The strength is not in the ribs that the stock-jack go over. The strength is in the frame that is on the other side of those ribs.

When we use a floor jack at home my dad always puts an additional piece of wood under the frame (where the jack hits it). Just for extra support. We don't really jack the car up that much. Twice a year for the tire change and a few additional times for oil changes. It should be fine or the amount of times we jack it up.

Chassis. The metal bars and I-beams under the car.

Met up with a friend of mine who's a mechanic. He said business was slow, so he said to bring my car to his shop....as he has some free time.

He lifted the car and pointed out 4 points to life with the trolley jack. Didn't have my camera so I did get any pics. Next time I go in to see him I'll try to get some picks.

He said jacking it with the floor jack on the rails should only be done if you have the right type of jack (with a groove) or an adapter.

what is a trolley jack?

I imagine that it's a floor jack w/wheels. but idk

The video makes it easier to locate the jacking points, while the diagram is there in the user manual, different visual aids for different people

I had a friend who is also a mechanic and they both have almost the same resolution about jacking the car.
