Well first off does anyone have them, and are they a noticeable improvement in light output? I always felt our tail lights were a little on the smaller side. We have lots of foggy mornings and I need something to pump out some light.

I was looking at some from www.superbrightLEDs.com and can't decide on which version to buy. The spider version looks cool but would it fit enough to open all the way? I wouldn't mind the tower type but I want the spider. Do you think a rear facing spider light assembly would prevent any light from being emitted at an angle?
I've never had the tail light off before so any knowledge passed on would be great. Is the hole even large enough to fit these through?
