Lost a flashlight inside my dash..

Hello all.

I have a 2007 Versa hatchback.

I installed a new aftermarket stereo last night, working by light of a small torch flashlight. While going to put in the last screw to secure the dash kit to the car, I fumbled my flashlight and it fell down into the air vent on the right side. Needless to say, I can't get this out.

The stereo looks and sounds great! But I'm concerned.

So.. two questions.

Is this going to cause any harm to my car? I'm not sure exactly how much space is available down where it fell, and if it can harm anything by rolling around in there.

And how much of a pain in the ass is it going to be to get it back out?

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Where did the flashlight fall into? How large is the flashlight and is it made of metal?

If its metal you can go to any auto parts store and buy a extending magnet, they fit in real tight spots, and they're real strong.
Oh and you can take the glove box out and see if you can reach in there. Not sure if you can access the area that way, but its worth a shot.

Thanks for the advice, a friend of mine had suggested the telescoping magnet as well.
