I want to color my hood, roof , and trunk hatch matte black any ideas as to whether or not I should use vinyl or have it professionally done?

Just plastidip them. It's cheap, easy, and a diy project.

Plastic dip is a good d.i.y. job. I also have seen ppl very successful with carbon fiber wraps.

Plastidip over here is BS expensive so we mainly use the 3M Designer Wraps, which come in pretty much any colour or finish you can think of.

ive seen some 3m carbonfiber tape on the roof of a tsx before, and it looks mint!

ive been wondering on the trunk and hood combo for wrap or dip. let us know how it goes!

The only hard part about vinyl is, you gotta look out for those bubbles. they're always trying to show up everywhere!

If you use the proper 3M stuff (there are heaps of rip-offs that use the 3M logo but aren't) then bubbles aren't an issue.

The real 3M wraps have 'ScotchPrint' on the backing.
