Metra MDF 7603-1 In-Dash 6.1" 2-Din Navigation and Bluetooth 07-11 Nissan Versa
Metra specializes in din kits, harnesses and other aftermarket radio installation parts. A few years ago they put these things together with navigation, iPod, DVD, etc. and made some direct fit plug and play systems for various cars. These were great for cars with odd shaped dins or those that share the faceplate with HVAC controls. One group that Metra made these for was the 07-11 Versa.
It looks like there are still some out there. When these came out, the MSRP was $449.00. Most of the places that still have them are asking $300.00 or more but if you look in the right place, you can get one for less than $130.00 shipped. Search eBay for "Versa Metra Navigation." I won't post any links because I don't know if it's allowed and I have no part in selling them.
I just installed a Metra OEM fit radio (that I got off eBay for less than $130 shipped) in my wife's 2012 Toyota Highlander. Install was easy. Everything was plug and play. It comes with the navigation antenna, USB, iPod and Aux plugs/chords. It also comes with extra harnesses to easily hook up a game system, TV or reverse camera. They're capped off RCA jacks that you can just plug those things into. There's a wire for the parking brake that prevents the DVD from playing while driving. All you have to do is ground that wire and you can play a DVD at any time.
Just thought I'd share. Getting a radio with all of these things (see below) that plugs directly into a Versa for less than $130.00 seems like a pretty good deal. Since these things are a few years old, the navigation software may be a little out of date and they have no warranty.
