Im not intending to put a bump on this thread but I guess im on the same issue. I was going to work when I heard a loud sound directly from the exhaust. I stop for a while to check what that noise was and I finally discovered that the exhaust pipe has a flange and I guess the whole exhaust was rusted. Got it repaired for $100 and replace the whole exhaust parts for additional amount.
