Here is a before and after shot. Both shots were taken at the same shutter speed and aperture settings.

It seems that these LED license plate lights doesn't seem so bright. I e-mailed the company and will see what they have to say...

That's what I thought...I don't think they are SMD. 1.5 Watt LED (That's not the same thing is it?). That could be the reason why....not sure

i even took a picture from my blackberry tonight when i got home from work

you should def. return those for a new set, they do seem dull compared to mine

They told me it's not as bright because of my plate protector (As I can see you don't have one, hmmm). They'll let me exchange for something else, not sure which one would be better.

Are SMD brighter then LED? From what it looks like it's a yes...

its strange tho, i dont really see why yours shouldnt be just as bright as mine
in my opinion the license plate holder shouldnt cause an effect, but what do i know lol

Wow those are seriously bright! They look long though, like they might not fit into the housing.

I think it looks deep blue cause the car itself is blue.

I know its a year old post but just wanted to give opinion anyways. Hopefully you got right bulbs second time around.
