unfortunately we have been rather busy. Still have to bleed the clutch and cooling system this afternoon and fire it up. Stupid running out of time. Fortunately I had an 11 maxima for a couple days, then an infiniti g25x for the weekend

Ok car is done. Perfect swap!! NO CEL!! NO idle issues. Like i said it sounds like you never had your throttle chamber programmed to idle correctly. Power difference is nice, but not amazing. Definately a lot quieter and nicer to drive

Did you have your idle relearned at a dealer? It really sounds like you didn't. There is no reason the idle should be messed up at all besides that. If you used the throttle body off the 2.0 you would have needed it
The reason for the idle change in the beginning is Greg used a complete motor from an MR20 and the 07-08 MR20's have a more aggressive cam thus the CEL and idle problems until the ECU picked up the change. The Versa's MR18's have a 212/224 duration...the early MR20's have 220/232 as noted in the Nissan Factory Service manuals. Also why Greg feels it more in the acceleration since it helps give his car more torque. :)

And you don't need to have the dealer check the idle...the computer will figure it out by just unhooking the battery for a few minutes then hook it back up....after about two weeks you'll be good to go....as what happend in Greg's Versa.

So take note of this if your planning an MR18>MR20 swap. :woot:

Don't think it would be worth it....by the time all said and done you could get a used Spec-V.
Between different Mtr/Trans/ECU/Wiring/Mounts/maybe even BCM that's going to cost a pretty penny even if you can find it all used plus the labor and time involved....ouch!

Yea you do have a point...but there a lot more power that can be brought out of th qr vs a mr..pretty much someones who is going balls out for total sleeper and big ponies probably do it! Now a ser qr maybe beable to match the cvt tranny. Only different between a ser cvt and 2.0 is it has manual mode and a cooler...atleast that what I just read! So you maynot have to go crazy like you said? Think the versa could even hold the vq25?

Oh yea! Sr20 are a beast! They got some good power but its a older engine! That guy I was telling u all about with the mr20 turbo is pushing like 350 whp with 16 psi...while a qr can do that with like 10 psi..give or take....I'm just saying he spent a lot of money on his mr and still has issues...its been almost two years! Yea he was like the first to do it but still
