Now I need a new bumper, I was on my way to Chicago and it was either Hit the Raccoon at 80 mph or hit the other car. I chose the **** and about were the plate on the front is was pushed all the way to the radiator. So, the whole deal underneath with all that plastic is destroyed. I was able to pull out the bumper so it didn't look so bad but I will eventually buy a new red bumper and install it myself.

I wonder how hard will it be to find a new bumper.

Good gracious...that poor raccoon got annihilated...but it messed up your bumper that bad?? It must have been an enormous raccoon...

Did you have the sport bumper?

Raccoons can get pretty huge! There was a momma and three kits nesting by the hydro pole up the road, getting into my garbage at night if i wasn't careful! School bus nearly hit them. Nailed **** in my tercel, but just bottomed out suspension. Hit numerous squirrels cats possums birds frogs mice, i guess i drive a lot! A deer meant the end of my topaz tho! I hope everyone is ok.
Shouldn't be hard to find used bumper/cover etc. Let us know

So far I have never hit any type of animal. 08V, the Redhill is bad for people hitting animals. Especially since it's so dark at night. My brother hit a coyote and damaged his BMW last summer. I guess it's gonna happen since we made an expressway right through their homes!

:( So much animal destruction...I have never hit anything!! Not even a plastic bag or non living debris...but, for our safety, I know we have to kill/hit them and not another car or swerve off of the road and that could be very bad/even fatal. But, it's still sad.

Everyone be careful! And hope you get a new bumper soon.

okay, I pulled the bumper out and it still has some nice cracks and what not.

I will probably leave this bumper on during the winter because of the sand they put on the roads. Now, can someone take a picture of their grill? Mine has an even gap all the way across and I'm wondering if the **** took out the support bracket (bent) and the hood can be pushed down about an 1/8th of an inch.

This was a yankee ****, Big ole boy.
