Hi Thomas, I have used a similar product called DrColorChip which I believe is the same or very similar to EZ Chip Repair. If you compare their websites they follow the same process.

Anyway, I found their videos to be misleading, expecting that the chip will completely disappear and end up with a smooth painted "like new" surface which is far from what really happens. Essentially, what it does is color the chip on your paint surface to make it match the rest of the paint. Doing this by itself makes the chip "disappear" from about 10 feet+ away, but the divot is still there.

I tried to repeat the process to "fill" the divot with more paint, but you cannot make it perfect enough to be unnoticeable up close.

Overall, I think you might as well be better off getting a small bottle of touch up paint from the dealer (the one with a tiny brush). I know Chrysler dealers sells them for less than $10, not sure about Nissan though. I would think the end result will be similar to these products.

I noticed that DrColorChip has a new Squirt and Squeegee kit. I have not tried this yet but I think it is an attempt to be able to fill the divot a little better and have a smoother surface. This might be worth trying.

Well, there you go Thomas, I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself. LOL

My experience with DrColorChip was at least a couple of years ago so it's very possible they may have done a reformulation. I always thought it would have worked better if the "paint's" consistency was more like putty rather than liquid paint.

As I said earlier, they have their new squirt and squeegee kit that may be worth trying as well.

funny that you say that cause thats kinda the consistency it is now, not quite liquid and more like a gel cause when i squirt some of their paint out on to my thumb, instead of running like most paint it actually forms into a ball as long as you dont squirt out an excessive amount. it does a really good job of filling in small scratches and chips, but larger chips that are say, the size of a pea, it will fill in but it takes multiple coats over several days to do so
