New 1.6 owner from CT

I'm Rob from CT. I have a black 1.6. I been eyeballing the 1.6 since the day nissan announced it. I drive alot. I was doing almost 40k a year. Only vehicle I had was my boosted 99 infiniti G20. So I racked up 217k miles on her. Kinda wish nissan came out with this car a few years earlier.

I have no intentions of trading or getting rid of this versa. I am sure on a 10k car the resale value will be nothing. So far this is a great car with much better MPG's then claimed. EPA should definately have put the EPA at 35 maybe even 36mpg on the highway.

Anyway just the new guy popping in to say hi.

Thanks, your sig on the other forum is the reason I joined.

I like the layout of this forum much better. I just wish there was a bigger community. With the amount of versa's I see on the road I figured there would be.

Just wanted to add to my original thread. I just turned 10k miles and so far has been trouble free and great to drive. I average 38mpg with or without AC.

Another 40+ mpg tank last fillup. It seems if I don't use the AC 40+mpg is effortless. I have three long trips coming up. CT to RI, CT to NH, and CT to MD. Can't wait to see how the V performs. On a sad note I will be out of warranty within one year of ownership

It happened last night. I hit 36,000 miles and no longer have a bumper to bumper warranty. Luckily I didn't have any issues. A slow start which might be the FPR but it sorta fixed itself so I'm not concerned. It only took me 14 months to wrack up that many miles. Hope the car lasts me 300,000 miles.

Wow. That's a lot of miles. Is the car a year old? I don't think I'll pass my mileage for the warranty. So I still have five years left.

And yes I hope the car lasts you that many miles. I hope mine lasts for another ten plus years. I want to get my moneys worth out of this car!!!!

The car is 14 months old. I have never had one job done under warranty on any car I've owned so I'm not missing it.

That's good to hear. I've had the sunroof adjusted under warranty and the FPR.

I just didn't want to have to worry about making a car payment after the warranty was up and then if something happened I'd have to dish out money to get her fixed as well.

My brother used his warranty to get his tire repaired and have the flat changed to the donut.
