Put my head unit in today, looks amazing. Super clean, such an easy install too! And I'm super impressed with what these stock speakers can do
Whats your deck RMS? You have an amp that can push those kicker speakers over their peak RMS?Trust me, you're guna want new speakers. After a while stock gets pretty old. I got some Zstats installed and im already tired of them. I got some Kicker KS speakers on my watch list on ebay. 190 watts per speaker. Can't wait til the money's right!
And yeah... I don't plan on running an amp for door speakers, so I don't really need quite that much powerTrust me, you're guna want new speakers. After a while stock gets pretty old. You got an 11 sedan. ahhh.......... the last of the 11 sedans....lolAlot of people talk smack about Alpine's quality for the past ten years or so, but I have owned 2 decks both by them and am still completely amazed at how good they sound. I replaced a Kenwood in '05 in my Malibu with the same Alpine I recently put in my Escort (sold the Mali.) and it still sounds great. The sound is nice and they look good too who could go wrong?
The hardest part will be the rear deck but doors come off easy and a double din will mount right up to the factory cage...the dash speakers will be a pain but I left those alone...also I made a cheap little rack in the trunk for mine.Nice deck, if your happy with the factory speakers, then I would suggest buying some inexpensive pioneer or clarion 2-ways. You will be very happy, and notice things you didn't hear in the OEM speakers. Speakers are 6.5". I would also suggest knowing I had a S 4-speaker setup, I bought a used pair of pillars and factory tweeters, even much, much, nicer inprovement! But I agree, when I replaced the OEM radio with a OEM SL radio, the difference was amazing, and those stock speakers can do some good sound when the right deck is applied.
Pioneer TS-G1643R (tsg1643r) 6-1/2" 2-way Car Speakers also
Im about to replace the entire audio system in my Sentra, and I know that's gonna be a b***h!!! lol
Ive already removed the rear deck, and a waiting for the remains of the setup. It was a pain in my butt!! I have ordered new dash speakers, and Im just gonna wire those to the headunit, and the other four will run off the amp. Hey I don't wanna be all over this person page, so pm me, lol. What kind of rack did you make? Im still deciding where to put my big ole 5 channel amp, lol. Where did you run the amp power wire? I saw a hole right behind the air box.
