Hello to all I just found this forum. I've got a 2010 versa hatch with the 1.8L automatic. It seems like a good forum with some helpful people

Down to the business I suppose

I've been noticing a wheel shudder slowing down, nowhere else. New brakes(they needed it) and resurfaced rotors. By now I'm thinking I'm clever and the wheel shudder is all gone but apparently not?

So I'm getting my tires replaced(already) and one of the techs comes up and tells me he can't align my car because I have a shot balljoint on the right control arm. Being a midas tech I pretty much yes him to death and drop the alignment out of the tire job.

Now I have checked it out and I have some play and the wheel shudder is still there, bad balljoint symptoms.

Nissan is telling me that it isn't covered under my warranty but I feel like it should be. I have basic protection package. My mileage is 29800 and clearly not over 36 months. What do you guys think?

Thanks for any and all responses
Brian

Welcome to NVF.
Welcome to the forums. Why not try another Nissan dealership? Sometimes some dealerships are harsh with warranties. Other dealerships may be more understanding and replace parts for free.
Welcome. Hope they fix it for you.
welcome to nvf I too would try another dealer good luck though and let us know if it gets fiixed
Try calling Nissan directly. They might be able to discuss the damage better. Did they say anything about the reason it is damaged?
There is no reason for them not to cover it. You're clearly in the warranty. Id call again and complain, if they still refuse to service it call another dealership. I have found in the 2ish years I've owned my car that out of the 4 dealers within 30 minutes of me, 2 are really bad for service and 2 are really good.
Also, welcome to NVF. And I'm surprised about the balljoint.. not so much the brakes though.. I just replaced mine with just under 40k on them.
Yeah the balljoint rly surprised me because it seems to be a good little car. The brakes wore out fast but I'm rough on them, I smoke out semi metallics all the time on my commuter car. The traffic is terrible, everybody floors it then slams on the brakes constantly
