A big wassup to all! This is Gerson, coming to you live from Torrance, Los Angeles, CA; home of Lakers, essays and clinics that stock up "this s*** right here?".
My wife and I just bought a new 2012 Versa S Hatchback in Fresh Powder just this past Saturday. I signed up here a couple of hours after. :thumb2: After tons of research we found this car would suit our needs best. We reluctantly traded in our beloved 2007 Toyota Vitz for it because we needed something more family-oriented. No kids yet, but I wanna have a car ready for just in case. :ihih:
I've been going through just about the whole forum, looking up DIY's, available suspension and engine components, extreior modifications, OEM JDM and USDM parts and all kinds of stuff. I didn't get a chance to modify the Vitz but I will this one and as it's my first time trying to modify a Japanese car, it'll take some getting used to. My other car, and my personal project, is a 1987 Chevy Beretta GT, so having this much aftermarket support is a bit foreign to me. lol :smilielol5:
Definetly will be getting some lows, most likely some Tokico Blues on Tein Springs. I do want to keep some ride comfort, as my wife will be driving it quite a bit.
Wheels. Not sure which yet. I'm going to be looking around the site for pics to see what style of wheels I like best with the somewhat sharp design of this car. Most likely, they'll be 16's or 17's. The wheel well is too big for anything smaller.
I can't make up my mind between a DC Sports or Tanabe Exhaust. I really like how this motor sounds with both of them...
Body, I may be keeping it stock with an OEM spoiler.
I do want to add Cruise Control to it and Keyless Entry. I've seen the DIY's here on how to do that already.
No pics yet. I'll be posting some later once I take some.
Any suggestions on parts or anything else, let me know. I'm a complete noob on this car but I love to learn about it. Hell, I'd start taking the engine apart if my wife would allow me.
Here are the pics that were promised, I actually just finished taking them about an hour ago. I'm not used to taking pictures at night so they may not be the best and I was practicing some lighting techniques with my flash. All of them are 30 second exposures at f/8 at 200 ISO on a tripod with a 10-22mm Ultra Wide Angle Lens, for those who know what I'm talking about.
Of course it would not be typical Wanako style if it weren't "in your face!!"
I reposted here as it appears to be the proper section to post. There seems to be more traffic so I thought the other place I posted was wrong.
Thanks to those who have already welcomed me.
