Hello,
I will admit that I don't know much about Nissan's but my son bought a very nice 2015 Versa for his first car, so I guess it's time to learn.
I'm used to wrenching on cars like my 69 Camaro or my 2000 GMC, but like they say, it's never too late to learn.

Thanks
Bruce

Welcome!

CVT or 4spd auto trans? Either one is going to need a fluid change and regular fluid changes from then on for max longevity. If you can't tell what trans, look at the floor shifter. PRNDL is the CVT. If it has D, then 2-1, it's the 4spd.

Basic maintenance seems OK on them. Rear brakes are bit weird (on the ~2013+) in that they are drums, with the wheels studs and bearing all in one unit. You basically remove a dust cap, thenwhat looks like an axle nut, then the whole drum comes off the spindle as a unit. There's youtube videos on about everything for Versii.
