Hi guys,
I just bought a used White 2011 Nissan Versa 1.8 S (Sedan, Auto 4, 38K Miles) on Wednesday afternoon! I had been driving a hand-me-down 1998 Honda Civic that I got in 2004 and I ran those miles up to 244K before I finally decided it was time to break up. It started acting up a little bit last weekend and likely needed a decent $$ amount of work done to it, and I said screw it, I'm getting a vehicle. I originally went to the dealership to look at a Kia Spectra, but I seen the Versa there and I knew a couple people who had them (and liked them) and I took it for a test drive and loved it and bought it right there
So far I've put about 200 miles on it and I'm absolutely thrilled with it so far. The space inside is unbelievable. I really like that it rides higher than my Civic(which would clip any little thing on the highway). Not a ton of power, but who the hell really needs a ton of power if you're just commuting? It picks up just fine as it is! It has a little more horsepower than the Civic and that is exactly what I was looking for. I make a bi-weekly trip that requires one long steep mountain climb that my Honda couldn't handle anymore. It was literally losing speed going up this incline unless you ramped it 4500+ RPM and it sounded like a freight train that was about to explode. The 1.8 Versa handled it no sweat. With most of my travel being commuter highway I should still get the 29-30 MPG if the ratings are accurate, the same level my old car had decreased to over the years.
So far so good! :thumb2:
