So, saw an equator black truck with what looked like a dollar sign, turns out it was the suzuki logo. >:D

Looked online and found stories of nissan selling suzuki trucks based off the frontier.

Other than online the local nissan dealer is unaware of this.

ANyone know more about this? Seems you can get an entry level one for 17 grand with a 4 banger. I got a 95 suzuki sidekick ljx and wouldnt mind a small truck.

Kind of an old post, but are you saying you have seen NEW Suzuki Equators being sold at a Nissan Dealer or a used one?

Suzuki did sell trucks (The Equator) under their badge that are basically the Nissan Frontier.
When Suzuki stopped selling cars in the US you could find good deals on them because everyone was freaking out.
I happen to own a Suzuki SX4 AWD that i bought cheap due to this.
Equators can sell a little less on the used market still because of this, but not remarkably so anymore.

FWIW I replaced my old 96 Tracker (sidekick) with the SX4.

I have no idea but it would be nice if they did sell suzuki's trucks, as my opinion is that suzuki builds way better stuff than in-house nissan...

Ive talked to a few Nissan dealers and seems most have such a high turn over in employees that no one remembers this.

I got a 95 suzuki sidekick 4 door wagon and know many 2 door tracker/sidekick and samurai owners. I even talked to some guys across the border in Canada and they say the 4 door wagon is basically their full size truck with a van body on it. :surprise

Ive been eyeing the ridgeline truck, but I understand its 4wd is only accessible in reverse and 1/2 gear under 15 mph. I like driving faster than that in 4wd and the sidekick lets me. Second the ridgeline gets half the mpg my kick does too.
