Have you checked to see if the pump is getting power and ground?? Could be a bad ground for that circuit?? If you have ground and something won't send power to the fuel pump, then maybe supply the pump with alternative source of power...
It is not the correct way to fix it, but I might run a power wire (fused with a switch) directly to the pump. Find a 12 volt source that comes on with the key.
Turn the key on, turn on your pump switch and see if the car will start.
Sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place, and need some type of work around to get the fuel pump to come on. Again, this isn't the correct way to fix it, but it might get you mobile and no longer stranded.
