that sucks man. sorry to hear that
How much is the starter? is it hard to get to?
100 bucks at o'reillys and i can probably knock it out in under an hour
300k and it goes out? If that's the first time that's awsome.

Gee. even with a couple of bangs with the hammer couldn't get it to click!!
Congrats on the mileage and also keeping safe on the road
So you are still around! I was beginning to wonder, hadn't seen you on here in awhile.

Can't believe its still going strong with 341,000 miles on it. Which is 500,000 km for those metrically challenged. Freaking unreal.
Yeah I am still around. I am quiet on forums. Do more lurkign then anything. Will post if I have something important to say.
Have you gotten the starter?
Yeah got it installed it. Wasnt the starter. I dont know whats going on. I have full pwer but it wont send any power to the starter.
That's weird. How much was the starter? Was it hard to install?
100 bucks and took 30 minutes out and in
Not bad, not bad at all.
If you have a manual transmission check the clutch interlock switch.

If you have an automatic check the shift lever interlock switch or ignition switch

Frank 2009 Versa S sedan MT-6 with 34600 mi
i have an auto and if i have to replace it i have to replace the whole shifter assemply
I've had to replace it once before. The biggest pain is just moving the other crap out of the way to get to it.
I think it's like 2 bolts and you wiggle it out.
so is it still not starting? Did they test the starter? the old one
perhaps starter relay or similar...but dead in driveway=new car!
new car new car new car
no i didnt test the starter because i broke off the negative lead trying to get it out. Starter relay is fine. Shift interlock isnt the issue. Its gotta be computer or wire related. I just dont have the time or the funds to mess with it because I need a car for work.
Going to sell it?
probably going to a salvage yard for parts as soon as i strip it down
