But Georgia has been getting some crazy rain lately, and its had me wondering about my DC CAI. Its So big and right next to the wheel, and im worried about hydrolock!!! Do I have a reason to worry? Will normal driving inhale water even when REALLY WET

you should be fine. If you're really worried though, they make a piece that goes between 2 sections of pipe (at least for the AEM intake) that sorta filters out any water that might get up there. not sure if DC has the same thing. You'll probably be fine though. Its been very wet here and I haven't had any issues.

It needs to be totally submerged...it's pretty well protected by the panels on the bottom of the car and the fender liner from water intrusion unless you drive through a huge deep puddle...and if you do you might hydrolock a normal intake anyway!

You would have to submerge the filter and suck up a real lot of water for it to make it all the way up into your engine. But if this is seriously a concern just go to a warm air intake until the rain is gone or just leave it like that.
