probably because not many aftermarket versions out yet. Still relatively new model. Other than that I would have no clue. Also could be because the windshield size. I assume that long raked windshield is pretty big.
price will probably come down, but also you have to realize that a lot of the soundproofing that nissan did to combat wind noise was on the windshield of the Note, specifically they coated it with an extra layer of material on the windshield to do this which is probably part of the reason why it's expensive to replaceThanks for the feedback, I don't think size is issue. Buddy got a new windshield in his Honda Minivan (that's a big piece of glass) for $225. Being new model is the issue I think. I hope we can hold out until aftermarket catches up, hate to spend that much on a windshield.
Note-ified, Thanks, I did not know that, that makes sense. Well, we'll have to see what happens in the future.price will probably come down, but also you have to realize that a lot of the soundproofing that nissan did to combat wind noise was on the windshield of the Note, specifically they coated it with an extra layer of material on the windshield to do this which is probably part of the reason why it's expensive to replace
if it hasnt spread yet, i would highly recommend getting one of those do it yourself windshield repair kits or calling a company like safelite that can fill in the chip with an clear epoxy to prevent it from spreading further...it will save you a lot of time and money to have it repaired now instead of waiting to see if it spreadsThis worries me greatly. Just got a small chip in my new Note and Im worried it's going to spread by the winter. I'm really hoping to find a way to keep the chip from spreading.
