I might be wrong but Nissan has a good chance of moving up a couple notches:

I thought Toyota was suppose to be all about quality? Whatever happened to that moto? :rolleyes5:

Guess owning a Nissan isn't as bad as others presume.
after all of these recalls from toyota...i'm questioning if i'd ever own one period

LOL! That's funny that you say that. An article appeared in our local paper about the Toyota recall. It said that older generations who have owned problem free Toyota's for years are more willing to see this recall as one minor problem. However, the article said that Toyota is more interested in the younger generation of the population as they are the future car buyers. This recall could turn those first time Toyota buyers towards another brand when they purchase their next vehicle; all because of the recall.
thats pretty intense, and slightly scary. my buddy works at a toyota dealership, im gonna call him now and give him shit haha
Lol. They just announced on our local news channel that the two Toyota plants in Ontario, and one other plant (somewhere in the US) will be closing for at least the next two weeks to figure out the problem w/ these vehicles. They will also be stopping sales at all Toyota dealerships for the next two weeks (on most of their vehicles - the ones that are hit by the recall). That will be a big loss for Toyota!
i guess if you all know someone shopping for a boring toyota, let them know to ask the salesperson if the car they are looking @ has a self-accelerate feature.
o ya........if the car behind you is a toyota........it probably is way too close than it appears lol..........
LOL!

Ya Toyota is pretty popular here. My cousin has a Matrix that he bought when I got my Versa. I don't know if he's experienced this problem before. Either way, I would want my car checked if I had a Toyota.
i drove a 1990 corolla and a 99 corolla for a while and both of the cars were great! no problems. the only reason i stopped driving them was bc i wanted to get newer looking cars. i love my sister's yaris, but it is way tooo small and it feels very cheap.

Lol, ya a Yaris is cute but very tiny.

Toyota does seem to have some good quality cars. My brother's g/f's Corolla must be a 94 or older, with 212000 kms on it, and it's running perfect. Starts every single day. That car will go for a long time :)
i've had a bunch of toyotas. i had a truck with 418xxx miles on the original motor, with only one headgasket at about 200k. would still be on the road but it got stolen!
i like how the CEO went on to deny that there were any defective parts... this a major blow to Toyota... last year they took the title for best selling car company...
