Who knows, though they may have changed the bolts mid year, they always do stupid shit like that. Are you sure it's not just the tip threads having crud or rust that is causing them to not thread in. Not sure where you're at, but up North here once a winter has passed, you can't ever re-use exhaust bolts because they're already too rusty.
