just got a 2012 versa sv super black/black interior. i dig it, and i plan on keeping it around for a loooonng time after looking at that service schedule and seeing those cost of ownership awards.
lol. but man the ocd of new car ownership. went over some potholes a little bit ago and i can't stop thinking about them. the car is fine, and it's a main road that people go through all the time... but to have perhaps loosened it up or brought it out of its perfect initial fetal state is nerve racking lol. my trade-in was partially to get rid of fix-it-up headaches.
right on, well proof this place is alive. hello, everyone!
lol (and some may think it's too much but since it's new and i may do mods way down the line...) when i got my lojack installed i had them check for leaking struts, funny control arms, wheel bends, tire damage. they said it's fine. lol.
so. i'm good till my first free oil change. no more worrying about saving up for a timing belt swap... do it myself? pay $850? or a tune-up? don't have to worry about that for awhile. oh, and that leaking, delayed/hard shifting 01M Jetta auto transmission... goodbye. rrr:
Too bad about the Jetta. The engines seems to last ok, but the rest of the car doesn't have the quality and durability i expect for what you pay for them. I loved my 92 Jetta TD 5sp, and sold it for nearly what i paid for it a year later I'd love to give a go in a Mk V or VI GTI though:thumb2:
Welcome to nvf and enjoy your V! 08v
I had a Jetta too, 1995 MK3 Turbo Diesel 5spd. Sold it with 450,000 km on it. All original mechanically speaking, but the body was falling off. Comparing it to some friends Mk4,V and VI, its obvious they don't build them like they used to anymore . Too bad, they were nice cars!
I hear ya on new car OCD, I drove mine home from the dealer in a hail storm lol
