I could be a moron please let me know, lol but does the factory harness for fog lights plug directly into the bulb or does it plug into an adapter that plugs into the bulb...anyhoo lol here is the link.

Man so they won't fit the hatchback cut out? How about the turn signal stalk for a 07/11 are those plug and play on can 2012? Everything that I found said that they are the same but I would rather ask before I purchase one then take the column off to find out it doesn't work.

A lot of sites don't change the year on parts, so some parts for the hatch will say for 2007-2009 only for example, but if the part is for the Versa hatch it fits, mounts, excetera.

I probably should have checked this first, but I didn't. Does a 2012 1.8s hatchback have the factory wiring already there for fog lights?
I read in another post where some sedan models in u.s. were not equipped with factory wiring in the harness for foglights.

Does it have power windows/locks? If it does then it is wired for fogs. You're right about some sedans not being wired for fogs(mine was one of those), it applies to some hatchbacks as well though.

Yeah it has power windows and locks. I'm gonna look at the harness under neath the headlamps to make sure the wires are there. If they are will the wires plug directly into the fog light bulb or does the factory harness plug into a harness coming from the fog light?

The factory harness plugs into the wiring coming from the fogs. You also need the headlight switch that has the fogs stalk. I'm not sure but I believe you can use an Altima or Murano switch. Again, not sure about that part.

OK so I peeked under the hood and looked on both sides and I found what appears to be the fog light wires. I'm 99.9% sure that these are them, however I want to be sure so can some one tell me if this is them? This is the one from the driver side and there is an identical one on the passenger side below the washer fluid expansion tank.

I just bought a set on eBay, with a push on/off switch. Currently I do not have fog lights. When looking at the owners manual, it says the fog lights are connecting to the column on the stering wheel. Does anyone know will these fit into the little box next to the traction control? Also how can I hook up so the will not be on when car is off? (I will probably always leave them on if not and run out my battery).

Its much easier just to go and check. I wanted to know the same thing and its a hit or miss
The wires will be pretty easy to reach if you got small hands. In the picture at the top of the page I am HD the one on the passenger side. It is located inbeteween the washer fluid tank and the head lights. The driver side is down below the head light towards the center of the car. If you do have them the ends plug straight into a h8 fog bulb no extra wiring is needed. The stalk can be replaced very easy as well with removing 3 screws from the steering column. For $200 I paid for everything and they will be as if they were factory installed. The links of where I got everything is above in another post. I hope that helps good luck

It should fit as long as there is a blank space where an option should be. My grandfather has a 2010 h.b. that does not have traction control and there is an empty slot where it should be. So if you have an empty slot then yes. What the manual is referring to is the turn signal stalk. This is where the fog switch is located if your car came with em factory installed. If your car was pre wired for fogs then you should just get the stalk with the fog switch already there. You can plug your fogs into the factory wiring and not have to worry about them staying on when the car is off. There is a link in this thread where you can get the stalk.
