plasti dip instead of spray paint?

I want to paint my interior, like other members have done, and I just wanted to get an opinion from you guys. I was thinking of maybe trying plasti dip in stead of using traditional spray paint. I think the texture of plasti dip would feel cool and it could be taken off if I don't like it. So, what do you think?

Sounds good. I'd try it and see how it goes. You can also try and get the interior off an 2009-2011 1.6. :D
Is there any difference between the 2008 interior and the 2009 interior? I mostly want to do the center console and the panels around the guages/side vents (they are silver in my car and feel really cheap and are scratched)
The area around my A/C vents(not the gauges) is flat black but thats because I have the 1.6 model, not because of the years. Hopefully Rob will chip in and comfirm this.

By the way, the 1.6 model was introduced in 09(reason why I said 09 and not 07 or 08).
I have the black interior, so the entire center console/dash is black.

The area around the A/C vents should be silver, unless you have the base S.

Actually, it is silver. Same with the steering wheel...silver and black:

ooooooooooh. haha. I want to paint the center console (area around the radio and the ac controls) and those side areas with the silver. I thought you were talking about the tan interior vs black interior.
i've painted my interior :) still have some more to do hopefully next spring/summer
wanted to get the overlay off ebay but decided to just buy some spray paint and sandpaper and do it myself

and plasti dip sounds pretty awesome, you should def. try it and post up pics afterwards! :p

We have the same color so I've noticed the difference. And thats cool. I love the black trim features. :D
use the plasti dip. ps the further away you hold the can the more textured it will be
Wrap it in fabric or vinyl or leather or suede... look up black suede interior on Google images. Easy as hell to do, though cutting out the switches can be tough. The silver dash strips use mostly metal taper clips, with a notch on the door side that is a bitch to get out. Then once that's out, the vent units come out with 4 clips, just lever them up and it'll come right out. Looks 100% better than paint ever could look. More durable too, and keeps stock look. Go to any fabric store and pick something you like.
