Hello!

I attempted to post a How To earlier this week but so far it hasn't appeared in that Forum.

I got notice that it would be reviewed by a moderator but, other than that, nothing has happened.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi There! Ho There! Ha!

Yes, I knew that it had to be blessed by a moderator. One week after I offered the submission, nothing has happened. Hence my question as to if I had done something wrong. I assumed by now that a moderator would have reviewed the submission and rendered a ruling as the suitability of my offering.

So what is the normal amount of time for a moderator to check out a submission?

If the submission is found wanting in some way, will the submitter get some sort of notice as to the problem?

Thank you.

Best regards,

Scott

I'm a mod and I don't even know where to look for a post that needs to be approved LOL. Maybe I don't have high enough clearance.

robj80,

Well you apparently have a high enough clearance to have something posted in the "How To" section. I see your Oil Change "How To" is a sticky.

All my posts in the How to were way before the forum changed. There are all new rules now as opposed to before. For good reason too because this site was flooded with spam and trolls almost to the point where it needed to be shut down and cleaned up.

Ok I don't get an alert but when I go to the howto section I see threads with the word moderated infront of them. Two of which were yours. I went on and found a button to approve them. I chose the one that had part numbers listed on the top and got rid of the other one. If this is not correct and if you still can't see your post then let me know.

robj80,

Thank you!

Yes, I posted one procedure and then I saw the How-to-post-a-"How To" sticky - it was below my screen my first visit and I missed it - so I posted a second one that followed the requested format.

You sent the correct one down the memory hole!

I am able to see my "How To" so everything appears to OK.

Thanks for looking into this.

Best regards,

Scott

Approval on a How To posting

I too have posted a detailed how to and have tried to reach out to the admin or moderator. I unfortunately didn't keep a copy of the post and was hoping by now, weeks later, it would have been approved. I've already introduced myself to the forum and made other posts. However, the "How To" area said it needed moderator approval of which I am still waiting for. I missed any instructions on 'the format' to follow. Can you or someone help? I'd hate to lose my detailed post on changing the clockspring. Please, please help! Thank you!
