I've only owned my 15 versa for two weeks now and I absolutely love it. However the only problem I have with it is the radio, the full range speakers are alright but the distortion kills me. I mean if you want any bass at all you might as well not turn the radio up past 20. Can get it up to 28-30 with the bass on 1 or lower. I'd really like to install a set of components in the front doors. However I have no idea where I'd put the tweeters. I don't want to do any serious hacking away at my trim pieces. I thought about the piece covering the mirror adjustor but I dont think there's enough clearance. Also what all is involved in getting the a-arm off? Anyone know if there's enough room under it for a tweeter? Thought about my be putting it on the door in somewhere around the handle. So has anyone done it? What's your opinions or recommendations? Would I be better off to just go with a 3 way coaxialspeaker? Also I can't find too much on putting a double din touch screen in it. Anyone know what all is involved in it? Do they even make brakets for them? I can find them all day for the last gen modles.

The last time I installed a set of component speakers in one of my previous cars (a Neon SRT4) all that was needed was a hole <1" diameter since the tweeter I chose was a surface mount speaker, it did not require any room/space behind it .

BTW what do you mean by a-arm? Are you talking about the A-pillar or post?

I thought I read a few posts on people installing double DIN radios, you may want to review some of what was posted on the forum. I think some 2015 Note owners were surprised to learn that the new Note dashboard radio opening is a bit wider than a standard dDIN radio leaving a 1/4 inch gap on each side (this may not be an issue on the sedan). I would think any dDIN radio should bolt right up. Probably good to check with Crutchfiedl to see what's needed for a dDIN installation.

I'm most certinally going to with a flush mount if I do a component set. And yes, I ment a piller, my mistake. I noticed the notes already come with a tweeter there so I figure there's probably plenty of space in there.

Being a new car and one that I'm really not familler with yet I don't want to go tearing the interior apart in fear of breaking it. I have had the door panel off though and that was easy enough.

Thanks for the info on the d-din radio. I asked the dealer about an upgrade to the stock touch screen and they want close to $1000 for it. One thing I dont want is ugly gaps, so I'll have to dig around and see what I can find.
