But anyways. I've been shopping around for a decent but inexpensive radar detector. from my understand the escort passport 9500ix is pretty much the best thing that ever happened as far as radar detectors go.. but 700 dollars at my local visions store is a bit excessive.

I found a real cheapy here on a website ive never heard of. But the description kinda sounds like what i would be lookin for http://digitechstore.com/cobra-xrs9950g.html. I'm sure if someone knows anything about radar detectors they would be able to tell if that is garbage or not.. and perhaps what a decent low cost one would be!... Woo

im actually on the lookout for a radar detector too. i heard cobras arent that great but for a decent detector (from wat iv heard) ur gnna spend at least 400. :/ i wanna spend tops 200 to be honest. if anyone knows please id be very appreciative also if you would share ur thoughts on any good inexpensive ones.

the reviews say its amazing on this radar detection site. i found it there and it has a 4.5 rating out of 5. its supposed to be the best buy for under 200. im gnna go for it pretty soon. like next week probably.

real quick, i bought the beltronics v995. its supposed to be the best for under 300 with awesome sensitivity and low false alerts. i also go this for more time to slow down wen a cop uses laser. http://www.radarbusters.com/radar-detector-accessories/laser-veil/lasershield.cfm iv never been stopped but i speed and dont even notice. today a cop was stationed at the end of a road i was coming down doing about 50 and it was a 40 i think lol. my heart sunk i hit the breaks luckily i dont think he noticed me. and here is the detector http://www.radarbusters.com/motorcy...etectors/beltronicsvector995radardetector.cfm il take some pics of wen i put it on and test it out i will def let u know wat i think of it. i get it tuesday

My friend just got a cobra radar detector from amazon a few days ago. i was actually about to get that one till i read reviews and compared. its good but it the range is nothing compared to the beltronics brand. i used it and it works. i get warnings up to a good three quarters of a mile away and sometimes even up to a mile its an amazing product i highly recommend it

I noticed going thru NY state, heat is everywhere. Not so much MS,NH,MA,NB,PEI.
Wife said that Buffalo radio says police dept funding always in deficit in that state. Hmmmmm! True?

I've got a Cobra (can't remember the model) but I hard wired it into the fuse box, ran the wire up through the crack on the side of the dash and suck it to the window in the left corner. So it's nice and tucked out of the way and on at all times not taking up my power outlet.

the whole sun thing is supposed to happen with mine too i think it sets off the laser warning. but hasnt happened yet. to be honest idk. are cobras good? i was gnna get one but honestly because of the reviews and comparison between other brands i decided against it.

cobras aren't great (In My Opinion). I rather own a beltronics if you have the money.
