Rating Carmakes:

Premium:
Audi Acura Bmw Cadilac Buick Mercedes Infiniti Lexus Jaguar Porsche Rolls Lincoln and the assorted exotic bunch.

High Brand:
Chrysler Dodge Jeep Mazda Nissan Subaru Honda Chevy GMC VW Toyota Ford Mercury

Medium Brand:
Kia Hyundai Suzuki Daewoo

Honda would fit into the medium category for the reason that they really don't have a high end vehicle 'cept for the SUVs. Same goes for Mazda Dodge and Subaru.
I made these comparisons for anyone in the market of purchasing said vehicles. Don't get angry just my opinion.

but this is like buying by brands not by models so i wouldnt flame you lol... if you want to compare kia forte koup, hyundai genesis to audi A4 or A5, BMW 500 series then i think KIA and hyundai will be with premium brands ^_-v
everybody I've known that has had a dodge and/or a jeep and or a chryster product has had nothing but problems with them.

they belong in the garbage group IMO. super whack.
Dodge probably belongs in the medium grade group as well as chevy and ford. But the three have pricey suv models similar to the honda mazda and subaru group. Honda doesn't have a high end sedan like nissan and toyota. The genesis and diamante are good cars but they fall short in quality to nissan and toyota's high end sedans as well as resale value. Hyundai and Kia will never catch up to the prestige level of nissan and toyota. Just my opinion don't get angry.

I think what you're talking about is how Acura is the high brand of Honda and Lexus is to Toyota. Infiniti brand is for Nissan, while Mazda and Mitsubishi don't have a premium brand that I know of. Volkswagen has Audi.
mazda makes great cars but when i sit in a mitsu i feel like it's very tinny. i'm always rooting for hyundai and kia (the under dogs) but everytime i test drive a hyundai, i am super disappointed. everything feels so cheap in the cars! i guess that's y they have such a good warranty.

Forgot to mention Mitsubishi. They make awesome powertrains but i am sure they don't have high end vehicles. They have suvs but lately the styling of mitsus are where nissan was 5=6 years ago. They need to merge with a style type carmaker like nissan did. They list at medium brand in my eyes. Really, honda meets the same criteria as mitsu but i will leave honda in high brand cuz of their resale value.
I'm really not a fan of Kia.. Like at all.

But the Kia Forte Koup is one of the sexiest cars Iv seen!

My brother currently own a jeep liberty and I think he only encountered minor problems. By the way he upgraded his jeep hard tops and it helps a lot in the customization of his jeep.
You need to rate the companies on something. Whether it be reliability, cost, units sold, quality. It seems this might be a quality discussion. If that is the case you can refer to JD power to see.

BTW this isn't the 80's or 90's anymore. It's time to start taking the koreans seriously. Hyundai is a serious contender and build extremely nice, well put together vehicles with extensive warranties. No way they would be medium. Have you seen a genesis sedan before? Or the record selling new sonata?
My buddy just bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, and it is VERY nice. They really stepped it up with the new models.

Didnt the new Sonatas beat out Mercedes Benz for best paint?
