Hey edteach and welcome to the forums!

I have a few small rattles, but mines an '06 and done over 100,000km's :p

If she's only new I suggest there's something possibly worked its way loose back there. Take it back to your dealer and get them to give it a looksie (pulling the dash out to find it is no fun at all :p)
common problem in every versa i know of dude
I don't get a rattle but some wierd noise from that dash piece right above the radio. I don' think I put it back right after the radio install.

Tracking down and fixing rattles is a pain. Goodluck!
ya mine rattles to and i hate it with my loud basssss goin
=(

i got it to stop one time by beating the sh** out of my dashboard lol.
Only my front cupholders while driving and front seatbelt pillars rattle when there is too much bass.
I've been reading a lot about silencing the car interior and i found some very interesting stuff.
When was the last time you checked your weather strip?
Cleaning the weather strip and keeping it coated with silicone spray will keep most of the road noise and air out and might prevent your inside trim from rattling.
Try it first its a very inexpensive fix and a good preventive maintenance after cleaning your car.
a lot of people have this problem. i have been told its a plastic peice behind the center passenger air vent. just needs a bigger piece put in place. not actually sure tho i just live with the rattle.
i have the problem too but mine is coming form the passenger side though. but i cant try the fix till i get my car back from the shop lol...
I still have no rattles ... Only my sunglasses rattle up top in the sunglass holder near the map lights.
Okay, I'm glad I'm not crazy....sometimes when I'm driving I hear a small, but constant chirping/tapping noise coming from my dash/cupholder/passenger area and I can't tell what is causing it.

I don't know if its something moving when I drive on rough roads or if its just a normal structure thing...is it anything to be concerned about?

My car is like brand new, no scratches, dents, dings, or cracks, and definitely no issues, just minor things.

:/
actually if you lay a kitchen mat/ thin rubber mat inside your glove box or cup holder and inside your cubby hole in the dash it will help eliminate the sound that might be coming from those areas :p

really?? thats different.
well remove all the items in those area first then test drive if theres less noise then it might help :p
i was driving tonight and heard the rattling...i'm thinking its something i have in my glove box but it didn't bother me enough to care to check lol
yeah i hate that glove box it amplifies the sound too much lol so i end up buying a little pouch and put everything in it then throw it inside my glove box :p

That is a great idea. I have so many little pouches and stuff in my house... I thought about maybe lining the glove box with some sort of foam to keep stuff from rattling around too - sort of like your kitchen mat idea.
im trying to find the stuff they used to line the inside of the VW. they used it on the door, glove box and stuff holder on the door :p
