A bit of local news from Denver...

I'm not concerned too much about icy roads and snow, mainly the people around me that are driving. I really hate it when people tailgate or expect you to drive faster when weather conditions are not tolerable. What really gets me going is when SUV drivers object to safe driving and speed. They think they're not affected by the ice with AWD, wrong!

I totally agree. I find that people 'forget' how to drive when it snows. Often the first snow fall is the worst; that is generally when the most accidents happen. It is crazy. And I agree with the SUV thing. People assume that because their vehicle is bigger that it is unaffected by snow/icy driving conditions.

bigger vehicles are generally worse on ice than smaller lighter ones, more weight, more inertia meaning harder to stop. but i have to say i had a ton of fun with my blazer in the ice storm earlier this year...
