While my 2008 nissan versa was parked, someone hit my vehicle and did not leave a note. I can no longer enter through the drivers side door because the door hits front fender. For over a month I've been climbing in the passenger door which is getting quote annoying. The driver side door looks slightly tilted and I notice a little resistance when shutting the door because of this (the little black clasp--not sure what to call it--on the body of the car hits part of the door when closing it). To accompany this damage, my front LH light is pushed backwards, there is a nice scrape on my fender, and there are now huge panel gaps between the fender and hood and fender and front door. Based on the position of my body pieces, I imagine one of the areas the parts are attached is bent. Thus, I'm not sure it can be easily fixed. I'd like to replace the front door and fender since another person who pulled a hit and run on me about a year ago left me with a gash in the front door and a popping sound every time it was opened (front door was hitting fender).

It looks simple enough to remove the bumper, fender, and fender liner, but I'm having trouble finding any information on removing the door. Has anyone had to do this that is willing to share instructions or hints on difficulty?

P.S. I have a SL model with the power mirrors

I could not find any information on the removal of the entire door. The shop manuals are no longer available on line without payment. The only thing I did find was the link below who is selling a front door for a 2009 versa. It will give you a good look at the hinge area and any other connections you need to know about:

Doors are much simpler to remove than fenders. You disconnect any wiring harness then undo the hinges and it's off.

Put a jack under the door center to support it, they are often heavier than you think.
