Anyone know where to get a repair manual? Not looking for the factory repair manual, but a chilton's or haynes etc. I can't find one and not sure if anyone sells one. I had this problem when i had my 96 300zx.

No not yet. Don't have a problem with the car yet. I know i could probably go on ebay and get a repair manual on cd but i like having an actual book to look at.

Hi Rob:
Great information. The manual had some details on on the MR18DE noise type and trouble shooting guide in the EM section. I have an appointment with Nissan Service on Tuesday to review the engine noise which is before warm up but continues while driving. Nissan documented it as clearance between piston and cylinder wall a few months ago.

The question is how much noise is too much. I can't find a way to justify this as a problem without having some standard. Would a compression test help. Seems that the standard is 217 psi with a low of 175 psi from the manual you showed. It is a 2011 1.8 with 11,000 miles. The manual does have a specific area for NVA, or Noise, vibration and harshness, but does not show any limits. Any thoughts.
