Hello,
I have a 2007 six speed Versa with 50k miles on it. I have noticed a brief rev stumble from 900rpms to below 500rpm. These occur when I have been parked, with the car in idle, and I roll all four windows up. It could be a coincidence, but I just want to explain what is happening to my car. Where can I start looking for the problem? I hate taking the car to the dealer because they never seem to be able to replicate the problem. I am really questioning my decision of having purchased the extended warranty. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Alot of cars will drop little rpms when you do that. Think it has to do with load your putting on the alternator. Bet its worse if you have the rear defrost on and any other electrical item. Maybe your charging system is getting weak.
Thank you Rob, just what I suspected, but I thought it was highly improbable. I don’t have much history with Nissans, so understanding all these little quirks help me a big deal. My last 5 cars have all been VW's (1979 Microbus, 1963 Beetle, 1981 GTI, 1985 Golf, and 1996 Jetta) the last two had power windows and I never had that problem with them. Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
