Hello all!

I'm about to replace my front passenger door actuator to HOPEFULLY repair my hatch that has not opened in about 5 years and stop loud noise that comes from my front passenger door but I don't think it going to fix the issue with my rear passenger door. About 3-4 years ago it just wouldn't open. It didn't make any weird noise or any indication it was on it's way out it just didn't open one day. I hope it's related to the front actuator but I doubt it.

Has/is anyone else having this issue?
Has anyone repaired this issue themselves, if so, HOW because my door wont open for me to get the door panel off??

PS: It's a 2010 Nissan Versa, bought it brand new. Sad the truck failed w/in a couple years & the rear passenger door followed not too long after.

Interesting.... Havent been able to open the trunk in a few years?

Can you roll down the window to the door? You maybe able to peel the door panel off in reverse starting at the top where it curls over top of the door skin. Then work around the edges.

Another thought, Other than the dealer you could try the pop a lock people or some other company that helps you to open closed latched doors.

Not looking so good...........

Most cars today a waste of time using like mechanical methods like slim-jims to open the latch as many of the linkages are theft-proofed by covering them to not be able to get anything into the linkages to unlock. These are not rod, rather cable it looks like.

If like the Fords and the mechanisms do look similar in the service manual, could be fits when the latch itself seizes up internally. Might go after the inside door unlock levers, that might help getting to the cables on them.

Pass front and rear are not connected to each other usually like the driver front is to all the others for a master there. On these looks like the glass has to come out first to get to latch. Fun.

Waiting till ALL the doors fault to not be able to get in is not a plan, it's a disaster waiting to happen. You fix them one by one as they break or suffer the consequences. Could even get someone killed in an accident waiting there.

Most problems due to grease drying up in the latches then the myriad parts inside drag to not work and locked out city. Latch if like many cannot be relubed without getting them apart to do so and often now made to have to destroy to do that. I learned on the Fords to drill out rivets and replace with screws to get inside them, haven't had to do one of these yet. That $1 screw though made $150 out of thin air every time I did a Ford one, the latches are crazy stupid in prices. Too much cheap crap electrical inside them that runs the price way up, yet they fault commonly over a part simply not sliding right. Grease in the Ford ones and latch then good as new for years more.

You do NOT want to see the Nissan door latch electrical schematics, they are a many page nightmare.
