I've never had a project thread before, but today was such a nice day I had to take advantage and do something outside. I can't keep my car looking stock like everyone elses that i see on the road so..here it is!

CHEAP GHETTO tail light tint job, used leftovers from the windows haha. not too shabby looking though!

Thanks for the warm welcome and comments guys! I don't really have any real mods planned yet, since I just bought this car not even a week ago, I wanted to know what voids warranty and whatnot?

I'd like to buy some lowering springs since i'm seeing new struts really isnt required, but that would void the warranty right?

I think i'm going for a black and silver theme here, so I'd like to put a black vinyl later on the roof to black that out, and maybe some new hubcaps I can paint gunmetal haha. Not trying to put too much money into it just yet either! So far I'm loving this car though :)

It does make sense, and that's great news. Once I adjust to making payments for this car and my bank account starts looking decent, I'm sure new mods will come :)

Update: Tinting my rear window was horrible, so I found a guy who re-did all of my windows and my parents cars for a great price.

Professional tint job now! wooo!

Small update:

As some of you saw in this picture already, I blacked out the bottom of the front bumper with some carbon fiber vinyl I picked up at a local auto parts store. Then today I put on some LED lights in the license plate, and have mud flaps on the way!

Next on the list is the mud flaps/splash guard install, and LED interior light :)

Yeah, im hoping they will have a similar look to OEM. Even though I can't recall if i've seen the OEM ones or not..ill have to compare to the ones nissanusa.com has once they come in.

I would've done flat black but looks good. Adds accent to the "lip." Was it hard to do?
Not at all! Just removed the license plate, used a piece of paper to get the shape of the area I covered in CF, and just cut the pieces of CF using the piece of paper I trimmed. Once the pieces were cut, just peeled and stuck right on. easy peasy!

Since I've been reading that the paint on these cars isn't the greatest and rusts easily, I'd like to wrap my roof black at some point. and possibly the front of my hood with a clear wrap, just to prevent rock chips

I'ts been three months since an update!

Well guys, last night I gave in and just decided to buy some wheels. I'm honestly not sure what I want to do with them though. Two of the four wheels have some scratches on them, so if I kept them I think I would like to paint them. I have no idea for color though. I'm thinking maybe gunmetal, black or white? and the tires on the wheels are 205/40/17..so they are smaller than stock which kind of bothers me for the crappy roads around here. One tire also needs replacing, the other three are ok for now.

What do you all think? I'm thinking of maybe just keeping them as a project for now, or maybe reselling them for maybe 100 dollars more and just make a 100 dollar profit? When I saw he was willing to let them go for 200 dollars I just couldnt resist..anywho, heres a picture!

I just put them next to the steelies. THey are not on just by the way lol

looks good man cant wait to see them on
Thanks bud. Here we go:

I'm honestly, not too happy with the tires since they are 205/40/17..I feel like I need something like 215/45/17 maybe? What do you guys with 17 inch wheels run with? The wheels are also not in perfect condition so i have done some photoshops to see what you guys like best. I'm honestly not sure what I want to do yet. I will probably switch back the stocks for now, until I get these all pretty. haha. I did like how the car looked without the hubcaps so I may just go for the black tire look for now..

now onto the pictures:

The ideas:

Give me some opinions!

Edit: Just so you know the last few pictures, the ground is uneven which is why the front tire looks much higher than the back. The back sits pretty nicely i think!

Thanks for the input guys. I am leaning more towards keeping them, and just waiting until I get some money for new tires. I feel like two of the 4 tires constantly keep losing air, so that's not good. I would try to inflate the tires and one of them will not go past 25psi when I inflate them, and the other one doesn't even show any increase in psi when I inflate it. For now I may switch back to stocks just to be safe whenever I have long trips. I will be on the lookout for a decent set of tires now. Once I find decent tires I'll probably have these bad boys on for good! And since you guys like the silver more so far, I suppose I can keep it that way. I may plastidip one day though just for fun :D

Looks good. What color are they?
Thanks, they're gunmetal/graphite? something in between of that. Here is the spray paint that I used. The cap is the color of the wheels.
