Single DIN radio, doesn't fit nicely into dash

Yo,

So I installed an aftermarket radio in my girlfriend's 2009 Versa the other day. I removed the old double DIN radio, installed the adapter kit so I could fit a single DIN radio and put the radio in.

It doesn't look right though, seems to far set back into the dash. The JVC radio came with a Bezel but as it's so far set back the bezel can't be attached, and around the radio there is a gap and you can see the metal sleeve it sits in.

I am guessing this must be a common issue, how do you solve it? I followed the instructions exactly.

Can you modify the trim bezel? Maybe trim it with a Dremel for a custom fit. Lastly a few plastic or rubber shims to push the metal sleeve and radio farther out of the dash. Get creative. Good luck.
