I think I remember hearing the Megans are about the lowest you can go. When I had my Versa I had the Tanabe's… can't remember exactly which model they were though. It was roughly an inch drop.
Thats too low for me! I'd have an anxiety attack!go with megan springs 2 inch front and 1.75 rear
How careful do you have to be with pot holes, intersections, etc.? Is it a big difference in how much caution you must take compared to the stock suspension?I have TEIN springs on mine and love them. They're around 1.5in. all around.
A lot more caution. You will rip the bumper off if you're not careful. How careful do you have to be with pot holes, intersections, etc.? Is it a big difference in how much caution you must take compared to the stock suspension?
JoshG, do you have to drive very cautiously? Just not sure if it's worth it for me. Haha but basically I just want someone to tell me "It's not that bad."I agree. The car isn't much lower than stock but it looks and rides a lot better.
Dang coilovers are awesome but at a very different price point than springs.. I don't think I could get my wife on board for that kind of purchase!I have the Tanabe NF210 lowering springs installed. I love the look and all but the main problem is my location. I live in NYC and the roads here SUCK @$$. Dont get me wrong the springs run great when the road is smooth and i love it but if you are in a area with pot holes and bumps it might not be to comfy to ride in. Sometimes im on the highway and i go over a bump with a loud bang and it would hit hard enough for my window wipers to turn on. I cringe everytime this happens lol. So im switching to the Nismo Suspension kit or the Tein or Tanabe Coilover from BoB at versaspeed.
Yea the Nismo Suspension Kit is like 780$ and the Coilovers are about 100-200 more. But hey go for the Springs and try them out. Its not really much a problem if you live in a area with good road conditions. I have only used the Tanabe NF210 so i can only speak for those not sure about the other lowering springs like Megan, Tein, H&R, and Eibach. Maybe some of those could be better with rougher roads.Dang coilovers are awesome but at a very different price point than springs.. Yeah springs are a more distant plan but a plan, for sure! Roads here in Colorado are pretty good and I def. don't want to lower any more than 1.5".Yea the Nismo Suspension Kit is like 780$ and the Coilovers are about 100-200 more. You're telling me, my city puts manhole covers in a road track... what a stupid fucking idea.I have the Tanabe NF210 lowering springs installed.
