95% of the time, this means your brake rotors are warped and need to be resurfaced or replaced. When you do that it would also be a good idea to have the pads inspected and/or replaced.

Your statement is absolutely right, jswilson......But basically you have to buy what you comfortable with.
The price quoted is in the ball park, but first make sure that in needs to be changed out. This is an old thread, but another poster mentioned the possibility of warped rotors, which would have been my first guess also. Don't know the last time your brakes were serviced, but it may be time to have them checked prior to taking on the flex coupling. I looked around on to see if I could come up with a step by step video or the shop manual on making the repair, but came up empty. Good luck!!!In my 2009 Versa, I am getting wobble and vibration in the steering wheel when I brake. A local tire dealer diagnosed steering column flex coupling and gave a hefty estimate of over $500 and also said I needed a new engine mount. Any info on this forum on how to replace the flex coupling?
The starting point for you would be to get a second opinion...In my 2009 Versa, I am getting wobble and vibration in the steering wheel when I brake. Look at the tie rods first, a very common cause of it. Outer ones commonly.
Most of the posts listing brakes 'warped' have not a clue, the brakes are 'warped' on 99% of all the cars out there and it does nothing at all. I used to cut the discs and drums and know about that scam.
