Can't say I like the design either. I broke both tabs on a WIX filter (first one I tried installing myself) and the STP filter seems a bit small, so I just sandwiched a piece of wood between that and the glove box to hold it in place. I still have that WIX, so I'll just throw it in when needed and repeat, then try again with a new filter.
