Reminder to why I send out threads bashing other carmakes is simple. Nissan makes the best cars and trucks for quality and value. A reminder to anyone who is shopping for a vehicle and happens to come on this forum for valuable info. All of us nvf members know that Nissan rocks. We just have to do a good job steering our visitors down the right path.

Nissan corporate should contact them and tell them to knock off their crap. Honda sent a letter to their dealers stating to not try and capitalize off of toyota's misfortune. Carlos Goshn said something similar in a press conference about something not related. He said he hoped nissan doesn't suffer similar problems in the future.

In the end headquarters really can't do anything about the way the dealership tries to lure customers. Here is a prime example of how they have no control as this was a honda dealership. It also proves how sleazy car sales people really are.

It does grab your attention ...sorry to admit I chuckled at it - for like a millisecond! But I do agree that it is very tasteless when you think about the injuries and lives affected by the whole ordeal.

....LOL. Hey wait a minute.........weren't car dealerships sleazy before this happened? I mean, how many poor suckas bought a carolla for 25,000 plus. Like I said...........Toyota is the japanese buick....take advantage of a good situation..........oops.
In business I've always had one rule....never bash the competition as it makes you look cheap. It shows that you need low, below belt tactics to make sales, not sell a good product.

Imo this is a dirty tactic, and not called for. I'd say looking at the letter it might be liable for legal action too....
quality speaks for itself... as for Ford.. they didnt take bailout money but they did take out a big loan before the recession hit... have any of you ever watched Pimp My Ride when they moved to GAS? that is Galpin Auto Sports, anyways long story short, the guy that used to head up that shop is named Beau... he has commercials all over the radio telling Toyota owners to trade in their Toyota for extra cash toward a new Ford... but anyways... it wasnt that long ago that Nissan had a recall on the Rouge...
Nissan has been running ads during the olympics about how their quality performance and value is leading the way. They made no mention of the toyota demise. Kind of funny but right after their commercial toyota puts one out apologizing to the world and saying they will make everything right. Nissan could say say nothing right now and come out of this very healthy...Speaking of healthy..Nissan was sposed to take a quarter billion dollar loss last part of last year and ended up with a quarter billion profit.....keep it up.
It's smart not to mention the whole Toyota debacle not only because they come out looking less sleazy, but also because they can continue to use the same ads all year long when (and if) this whole recall situation dies down. GO NISSAN! WOO HOO!!!!
