New Nissan 1.6L Engine DIRECT INJECTION GASOLINE TURBO
For the Nissan Juke
For the Nissan Juke
Just yank out the front driveshafts, it'll run like a champ! LOLI wouldn't want awd I'd want rwd
If it was N/A it prolly wouldn't be powerful enough. But when its boosted, its got the torque to do the job, 240Nm = 177ft. lbs. Think of the 2.4L K-series in the Acura TSX, it has 171ft. lbs. torque. Those Nissan engineers really went all out lol.I think 1.6L is to small of a displacement for AWD... AWD has sometimes 20% or more drivetrain loss.
Lol possibly, so MR16DET?supposedly this engine is the MR family so all you people wanting to swap engines it may be possible. I personally would be praying the exhaust manifold fit rather then just the engine swap.
It would just make sense to boost the 1.6s/1.8s we got already. Would it really make sense to go out of the way, wait for a written off Juke, and swap the motor? It is way too early to tell lol.supposedly this engine is the MR family so all you people wanting to swap engines it may be possible. I personally would be praying the exhaust manifold fit rather then just the engine swap.
Well I was thinking along the lines of a custom turbo exhaust manifold already made for Vs, then using a bigger aftermarket turbo, instead of using an OEM ex mani and turbo. More power can be made that way.My point exactly. If the exhaust manifold fits our current engines then your good to go. That is the only engine specific part of a turbo system really. Everything else is custom or universal.
I myself think nissan should bring the HR14det over as well. Which is called the TCE 130 and used in renault only vehicles. Turbo everything is my motto. It's like free power. It does not sacrifice gas mileage as long as you can control your right foot.
Whats the CR on the 1.6/1.8?It will be able to take it fine. Just tune on a dyno via wideband and keep it fat (rich). Engines these days are made very well and the compression on the MR was relatively low if I recall correctly.
