Hi. I did a pressure test and noticed that the system leaks where the water inlet bolts to the engine. So, I have a couple questions:

1) Was there a gasket between the water inlet and the engine block? I looked everywhere and can't find one on the floor. and cannot see one in any videos online. I have gasket sealant if needed.
2) How tight does the thermostat fit into the hole? It was tight getting it out (I figured because of old gasket) but upon second inspection, the new one seems to come out easily with very little force.

1) No gasket required. I re-tightened the 2 bolts and the system no longer has leaks. I must have not tightened the bottom one enough.
2) I'm not sure if the thermostat is supposed to just sit there or if it is tight. I'm guessing the water inlet adapter is going to hold the thermostat in place securely.
