Top half of windshield won't clean

2014 Versa Note S.

I am in Denver, Colorado.

We had a few inches of show over the weekend. No big deal. I think it was about 25 degrees when I drove into work this Monday morning.

The windshield started getting some mist from the road. I hit the windshield cleaner. Wow! what a mistake.

The windshield was totally smeared. I turned the defroster on full blast, and cleaned again. The bottom of the windshield cleaned up, but not the top. I had to drive all the way to work with very limited visabiltiy. Nice safety feature.

Again, my old 1992 Ford Festiva beats my new Versa Note. The Festiva may be a beater, but at least it got the windshield clean.

Disapointed in purchase once again.

I have the same issue with my 2011, not only on the upper front windshield but all other windows minus rear windshield too. It's annoying and dangerous. Mine forms into a light ice cape so I have to carry a small scraper with me in front.
didnt i already respond to your first thread to get the sprayer nozzles checked out? and why start another thread about it?

edit: nevermind, must have been someone else with the same question after looking at your thread history
I just saw a Versa driving down the highway with ice on the top of every window. I myself never had this issue that I can remember and definitely didn't have it this morning but this guy did.

Maybe the combination of a weak heater and a tall roof.

rob i think he may be having issues with those 2 things as i have not had an issue with my Note being able to clear the windshield of debris and such, my advice would be to take it to the dealer and have them make sure nothing is obstructing the lines that go to the sprayer nozzles
It may be a fixable problem but you being from Fullerton, CA and him from Denver, CO it may not. Slight climate difference between the two of you. Should definitely be looked into.

I think for today the reason is extreme cold. My 2008 usually does a good job of heating up and getting rid of all the snow/ice on the windshield and windows. Still have to scrape/clean it first in the mornings.

However, today even my heat is only coming up just a bit over luke warm, and I usually have to turn it down because it gets too hot. -30 degrees C pushes the temp envelope and takes long time to really get warm. I would suspect you would not see this again on a more "normal" winter day (temperature).
I'm seeing a pattern here... just trade it in for christ sake.
I'm sure you could pick up another "Ford Festiva" for cheap
